Monitoring
Precision deformation, settlement and movement monitoring for critical infrastructure.
Construction and infrastructure projects often require evidence that structures, excavations or adjacent assets remain within defined movement limits. 2Spatial can establish and undertake survey monitoring programs to measure change accurately over time.

A monitoring program begins with appropriate stable reference control and a clear understanding of the assets being observed, required accuracy, observation frequency, reporting format and project thresholds. Monitoring points are then observed consistently so that results can be compared between epochs.
Depending on the application, monitoring can use high-precision total-station observations, precision levelling or other appropriate survey techniques. Processed results provide engineers and project teams with a record of measured movement and trends.
Monitoring may support excavations, retaining structures, bridges, rail infrastructure, buildings, temporary works and assets adjacent to construction activity.
Our Capability
- Deformation monitoring
- Settlement monitoring
- Precision levelling
- Structural movement surveys
- Rail and infrastructure monitoring
- Adjacent-asset monitoring
- Repeated observation rounds
- Stable monitoring control
- Movement and trend reporting
- Construction-risk monitoring
Why it matters to the project?
Objective movement data allows project teams to understand whether assets are stable and provides evidence for engineering assessment where construction activity may create movement risk.
